Christmas Party Time!

It has become something of a Club tradition in recent years to have a bit of a knees-up after the serious business part of the programme has been dealt with at the last meeting before Christmas. This year Alex Mackenzie arranged a surprise bout of carol singing, led by David Wilson of the Horsted Keynes Glee Club.

David had rewritten some of the words of well-loved carols (the so-called naughty versions) and for reasons best known to himself had deemed it a good idea to allocate solo singing spots to the most senior Officers of the Club. In fact these brave – if not reckless – Officers acquitted themselves quite well, and the evening was adjudged another thoroughly enjoyable occasion and a fitting end to the year's programme.
