 | Father Christmas at Country Gardens, Handcross
(on the A23, half a mile north of the Warninglid junction) by courtesy of the
Rotary Club of Cuckfield & Lindfield. Every Saturday and Sunday
throughout
December until Christmas a Rotarian Santa is on duty from 11am to 4pm,
accompanied by a Rotarian elf or clown. Each member has
had to undergo training, which included memorising the names of the eight
original reindeer. They also have to know the latest in kids' gismos &
movies, for ages under three to over six a challenging task indeed,
but
helpful in deciding present for grandkids.
In return, Country Gardens are giving up a substantial share of the proceeds to
charities supported by Rotary. This Christmas the main donation will be to
the
Sussex Air Ambulance. Left to right: David Wilson, Tom
